Buick LaCrosse

Due to the recession General Motors was forced to delay the unveiling of the 2010 Buick LaCrosse. Yet again the cars roll out is being stopped due to a quality concern. GM has already sent out 400 units of the car, but new shipments will be on hold till further notice.

Mark LaNeve General Motors sales head confirmed to ABC News that shipments of the 2010 Buick LaCrosse will be on hold because of quality issues. However LaNeve did not explained on the quality issue but he did say they “were not serious but were enough to delay us three or four weeks while we made sure they were fixed so that our customers didn’t have any problems.”

The 2010 LaCrosse is a major part of the revival of Buick, so it is better that GM stops shipment to address any quality issues, instead of putting out what could be a potentially dangerous product. GM is betting on the new LaCrosse to eat away sales from the Acura and Lexus. GM is also hopes that the sedan will reduce the brand’s average buyer age from 68 to somewhere in the 40-50 range.
