Cadillac XTS Platinum Concept Unveiled in Detroit

Cadillac has revealed another new concept at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit: the Cadillac XTS Platinum Concept.

“The XTS Platinum concept is the next expression of Cadillac’s Art and Science execution philosophy,” said Bryan Nesbitt, Cadillac general manager, “reflecting our drive to deliver the latest innovations in the most artful manner. We envisioned this concept as an automotive personal headquarters, using advanced technology to enable new levels of connectivity and luxury.”

The XTS Platinum has a plug-in hybrid system that is paired with a 3.6 liter direct-injection V6 petrol engine that helps out an estimated 260 kW and 400 Nm of torque. Inside, wood covers the console while light cream colored premium leather wraps the seats. A deployable touch screen navigation system is also integrated inside to help minimize the interior clutter. A system of Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) displays is also featured in place of the traditional gauges.

The Cadillac XTS Platinum rides on four 20-inch, 11 spoke wheels that are wrapped in Bridgestone tires. LED adaptive headlamps, flared fenders and a rear spoiler also adorn the exterior of the car.
