Brabus’ GL 63 Biturbo Boasts 650hp

Last month, German tuners Brabus launched their version of the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class at the Dubai Motor Show. The Brabus GL 63 Biturbo has been fitted with the Mercedes eight cylinder engine from the ML 63 AMG. The engine though has been re-tuned to produce 650 horsepower and up to 850 Nm of torque.

The engine is mated to a modified version of the Speedshift 7G-Tronic automatic transmission and permanent four-wheel drive which enables the vehicle to sprint from 0 to 100 mph in just 4.7 seconds. Electric cars have become a fad that every car manufacturer would not want to be left behind in the quest of building energy efficient electric cars. Brabus is not an exemption to this as it announced its foray into the car electrification business. The 2009 Brabus Tesla Roadster has front-mounted LED running lamps and underbody neon lighting.

The matte white paintjob is guaranteed to get everybody’s attention but it is the Pirelli P. Zero Nero tires and the 18-inch wheel in front and the 19-inch wheel on the rear part which makes up the glaring visual changes in the car. Of course, the Brabus Tesla Roadster comes with the new Brabus logo…
