After much internal debate and deliberation, Cadillac has finally confirmed that it will be producing the Cadillac CTS-V wagon. The wagon will have 556 horsepower and just might be the fastest station wagon in North America — it could easily be the quickest estate in the world.

It has long been known that Cadillac plans to launch a CTS-V Coupe alongside the standard two-door model, but the wagon variant comes as a bit of a surprise given economic conditions and Americans’ reluctance to buy station wagons. In fact offering a CTS Wagon was such a debate with GM insiders, but what ever the case is they have found enough merit to…

After a series of tests, 2010 Cadillac SRX 2.8T proved to have a real progress.  With 300 horsepower, Cadillac aspires to satisfy the buyers.  Turbo charged SRX utilizes the same FE3 suspension found in uplevel 3.0-liter models, and is estimated to yield a 0-60 time of 7.5 seconds with its extra power.

Cadillac is anticipating a comparable fuel economy to the 17/23 numbers of the non-turbo 3.0-liter mill, with city/highway numbers of 16/23.  The final pricing hasn’t been announced but Cadillac said that the 2.8T will carry a $3,000 premium versus a similarly equipped 3.0-liter model, so the MSRP is likely to reach $53,000.

With this kind of sporting performance, Cadillac’s very…

Watch out for the production version of the Cadillac 2011 CTS Coupe Concept come 2010. This auto is expected to follow in he heels of the successful red-hot V-Series and sedan models. The concept is a much-improved sedan making it a viable alternative to BMW, Audi and Infiniti cars. It was one of the big surprises during the Detroit Auto Show last year.

The Cadillac 2011 CTS Coupe Concept is mighty proud of its 20-inch front wheels and 21-inch rears but there are doubts these wheels would make it to production as a little bit of downsizing might be needed for practicality sake. The Concept boast of Recaro-brand seats that’s good…

Expect the world to have a sports wagon from Cadillac in line with the company’s goal of designing global vehicles. The 2010 Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon is the company’s response to the growing demand for something more than a sedan, considering of course the TS sedan’s high market demand.

GM’s Lansing, Michigan plant is already building the 2010 Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon which will be available for shipment to dealers by spring 2009. This means the plant will be very busy producing not only the 2010 CTS coupe but the wagon as well.

What makes this possible for GM is the fact that the coupe and the wagon share the same interior, powertrains…
