Loma Performance Corvette C6.BlackforceOne To Land At Essen

Set to debut at the Essen Motor Show from November 28th to December 26th is the Loma Performance-tuned C6 Corvette. The German tuner found inspiration for their latest tuning package for the C6 Corvette from the United States’ Air Force One Boeing 747.

Now the tuner calls it the C6.BlackforceOne.

The C6.BlackforceOne will be available in Stealth matt black, Eurofighter matt grey and White Storm white.

Next Corvette To Have Split Window Design

Ed Welburn, General Motors’ Vice President of Global Design currently announced that the next generation Chevrolet Corvette, that will be out in a couple of years, will be getting the iconic split window design seen on the 1963 Corvette Stingray.

“The split window is something that I expect for the next Corvette,” Welburn told Inside Line. “With the back-up cameras and blind-spot detection systems that we have these days, the visibility issue is much less of a problem.”

Reporters asked Welburn if the new Corvette or C7 will be based on the Corvette Stingray Concept used in the second Transformers film.

“That car is not the next Corvette,” Welburn confirmed.

Corvette ZX-1 Showcases Kavajal’s Creative Designs

The Corvette ZX-1 is a showcase of Kavajal Design’s Chevrolet Corvette-altering wares. The complete package comes with front and rear LED lights, 18-inch HRE aluminum wheels, rear diffuser and custom exhaust plus blings like alcantara race seats, Baer brakes, anti-roll bars, coil over suspension, flat bottom steering wheel and full under-body aero package.

The C6-based Corvette ZX-1 has been extended to a full width of 80 inches thanks to the full bodykit from Kavajal. It sports side air vents styled like the Ferrari’s and very attractive bucket seats with sporty-like red stitching. It is powered by a V8 engine producing 620 horsepower.

The Corvette Z03 has undergone face-lifting for the sake of a better-looking car with better engine power. Aside from the new headlights to make it more Z06-handsome, it also got a new powerdome for that extra clearance as well as increased engine cooling and better downforce. The new Corvette Z03 will have a base engine that’s the equivalent of GM’s LS7 V8 engine producing 700 horsepower. You can also opt for the twin turbo engine producing 999 horsepower.

If you want a super Corvette with the same old C6 interior but with the Ugur Sahin design and the carbon fiber chassis then you should be willing to shell out at least $69,000.…

A celebration is in order and General Motors would like to do this in style by coming up with the 2009 Corvette GT1 Championship Edition which is swathed in the C6.R’s attractive yellow hue.  It comes with a body-colored spoiler, chrome wheels, instrument panel and leather interiors with GTI-embroidered seats. The 2009 Corvette GT1 Championship Edition promises to be an interesting limited car because only 600 total units will be produced with a hundred units for each model. The price tag of course carries premium of $7,840 beyond the price of the standard models.
