Ginetta Buys Out Farbio, Debuts F400 In Silverstone

Ginetta, a well-known British marquee, has bought out Farbio Sports Cars, another boutique UK race and road car maker.

The Bath-based Farbio was founded by race driver Chris Marsh back in 2005. It has gained popularity with its models such as the GTS350 and the GTS400, lightweight vehicles (1048 kg) with race car characteristics but made for the road.

The GTS400 has already been re-named as the F400 by Ginetta and premiered at Silverstone.

Ginetta G40 Debuts at Autosport International

British racing and sports car builder Ginetta introduces its newest car, the Ginetta G40. The 850-kilogram car uses a 1.8-liter Zetec engine from Ford that typically produces about 150 horsepower. The engine has been tweaked, but to titillate us more, Ginetta has not released the exact specs.

Introduced at Autosport International in Birmingham, England, the G40 is built for racing.  It has crash zones at the front and back, side impact bars, and a roll cage the company claims is “50 times stronger than minimum 2009 FIA homologation regulations.”
