GMC is going to offer a luxury-laden Denali variant of its hauler-friendly Sierra HD pickup range. The truck unit of General Motors will now present a Denali version on all but one of its mainstream consumer offerings.

The Sierra Denali Heavy Duty, which is set to go on sale in early summer, will come standard with the automaker’s 6.0-liter Vortec gasoline V8 engine but will offer the new 6.6-liter Duramax turbodiesel that debuted recently in the Silverado HD.

GMC reveals its Granite concept. The new car concept from GMC will be the mark of change for the GMC brand as it would become the smallest GMC ever to be built should it go into production.

The new GMC General Motors has just barely heated up his seat and now his saying goodbye already.

Michael Richards, now then-General Manager of Buick GMC, has quit his post just after nine days. His departure marks the second high-profile leadership change in less than twenty-four hours for the Detroit automaker, following Chevrolet General Manager Brent Dewar announced his retirement yesterday.

Richards was purportedly taking into consideration a counter offer from his former employee, Trilogy—an Austin, Texas-based industry sales agency. Although if he has already taken the position is not yet cleared.

The GM’s Vice President of Sales, Service and Marketing Susan Docherty expressed her best wishes to Richards thru the Detroit News.

At the 2008 Chicago Motor Show, GMC wowed audiences when it revealed the GMC Denali XT unibody pickup truck concept. After more than a year and a half after its unveiling. GM has confirmed that it will no longer continue with the production of the unibody pickup.

GM to Produce 1500 Crew Cab Trucks at Flint Plant

General Motors have confirmed that it will invest $21 million into its Flint Assembly plant in Flint, Michigan at the end of the year. The reason for this investment is because GM will be producing its light-duty 1500-series crew cab pickups at the facility. American car maker GMC will be introducing an ultra-lux version of its Acadia that is under its Denali line. GMC Communications Group Manager Dayna Hart announced on her Twitter page. The announcement for the new Acadia is no surprise but the method in which the announcement was made was surprising.
