Toyota may be facing some quality issues right now, but that didn’t stop its Lexus division to reportedly push forward with a BMW M5 competitor of its own, as well as a replacement for its aging SC hardtop convertible. Both models should be on the market by mid-decade.

Internet rumors involving Lexus’ impending GS-F high-performance sedan have been swirling for years now, but the luxury division appears though that it is finally moving forward with the super saloon.

If the latest reports are indeed true, the GS-F will finally hit the market in 2013. The GS-F will use a version of the LFA’s 4.8L V10, although slightly tweaked to make the vehicle…

Lexus has just announced that the interest of the Europeans in the LFA has been increasing. The formal requests for the 522-horsepower Lexus LFA has already surpassed that vehicle’s expected production run.

The Lexus LFA is powered by a 4.8 liter V10 engine, and boasts a low weight with its carbon fiber body. It is capable of accelerating from zero to sixty-two miles per hour in just 3.7 seconds.

Lexus already indicated that only 500 units of the LFA would be produced. Orders for the car, on sale in 56 countries, will be accepted before the summer begins.

Lexus is set to compete with the Mercedes E63 AMG, the BMW M5, and the Cadillac CTS-V with its upcoming GS-F, recent reports said.

All of the competition already has packed up over 500 horsepower with their 416-hp 5.0 liter V8 from IS-F. Lexus, however, knew that they could still beat that. As reported by Best Car, Lexus will be fitting the new GS-F with a slightly modified version of the 4.8 liter V10 that is used in the LFA supercar.  The tweaked engine produces 560 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque, bringing the GS-F close with the 556hp Cadillac, the 518 hp E63, and the 555hp M5.

The new GS-F model…

A lot of potential LFA buyers were shocked by the leasing policy released by Lexus last week, but the Japanese automaker is not done yet. This week, Lexus announces that European customers can buy the car outright.

Lexus reasoned that they want to prevent speculative purchasing, and inflated second-hand resale of the vehicle by maintaining ownership of all 150 US- and Canada-bound units by coming up with the two-year leasing policy. But the automaker did not say anything about their different strategy on the European continent.

Lexus’ LFA is equipped with a 4.8 Liter V10 and can go from zero to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds before hitting top speed of 235…

Set to be one of the hottest supercars that you will ever own—not! Lexus has just announced that the limited 500 units of the LFA will only be for lease.

Lexus is aware of the automotive entrepreneurs that buy limited edition vehicles only to have them re-sold at a much higher price that’s why they came up with the idea of leasing the LFA.

“If someone buys it the first month and then decides to sell it, that could be damaging for the ownership experience,” according to Brian Smith, Vice President of Sales and dealer development for Lexus. He added, “If it is not controlled and hits the speculation market, all bets…
