Renault Wind CC To Be Introduced in Geneva

As scheduled, Renault will introduce the new Megane CC at the Geneva Motor Show. But apparently, that’s not the only coupe convertible that will be seen from the automaker. The two-seat Renault Wind, which is sized the same as the outgoing Peugeot 206CC, will be side-by-side with the Megane CC at the auto show next month.

The Wind will be launched with the 100-horsepower 1.2-liter engine from the Twingo GT, and the 1.6-liter 133-horsepower engine from the Renaultsport Twingo.  The car will also sport anew bumper and a recessed hood. Renault has begun the sales of their newest version of the Renault Clio S. A revival from the early 1990s, the 2010 Clio S is meant to bring the sporty look and feel of the Clio range.

The 3-door Clio S is based on the 5-door Expression trim. The Clio S only adds electric windows, heated electronics mirrors, CD radio with auxiliary jack, and foglights. The “Far Away” 15-inch wheels of the Expression are replaced with whited-out 16-inch “Polar” alloy wheels.

A Renault Megane CC is caught testing in the cold weather before it appears at its scheduled debut in Geneva.

A few new details of the Renault Megane CC shows that two rows of what appears to be LEDs are integrated in the rear as brake indicators, with a whited-out section for reverse and turn. The vehicle will also share design with the Megane coupe, including a similar front fascia as seen with the CC’s placement and integration of the fog-lights and air intakes. The engine will also be the same, with a choice of bio-fuel, diesel and petrol options.
