Chrysler to Update Looks of Five Models by 2011

After revealing the redesigned versions of the 2011 300, Dodge Charger, and Jeep Grand Cherokee, Chrysler has also confirmed that it will do five other major ‘facelifts’ of key vehicles in its lineup.  These changes are all part of Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne five year strategy plan for the brand.

The vehicles nominated for redesign are the Dodge CaliberYour browser may not support display of this image. , Jeep Compass, Jeep Patriot, ChryslerYour browser may not support display of this image. Town & Country, and Dodge Caravan, according to the Detroit Free Press. According to Fiat they are hoping that the redesigned cars will be ready for production within 18 months. This is definitely much faster than the typical 24 to 36 month timeframe for such tasks.

The report also indicates the PT Cruiser is to be redesigned, though a specific timeframe has not yet been determined.

The redesigned version of the Chrysler 300 and Jeep Grand Cherokee for 2011 model year should arrive some time next year. It is also rumored that the Dodge Charger, will also be restyled for 2011.
