General Motors is banking on the new design and quality performance of the 2010 Cadillac SRX to lure luxury buyers away from competitors like BMW X5 and Lexus RX. The new model, which replaces the 2004 SRX model, will be one of the featured autos during the 2009 North American International Auto Show this month.
With some of the best features of the other Cadillac models rolled into one, the 2010 Cadillac SRX promises to be more aggressively attractive and faster than its predecessor. GM global director for Cadillac design Clay Dean said the 2010 Cadillac SRX is GM’s most aggressive brand.
The 2010 Cadillac SRX comes with a V-6 standard 3L direct-injection engine but there is an option for the 2.8L turbocharged engine. Will the new 2010 Cadillac SRX make a difference in increasing the sales of Cadillac which plummeted to 24% last year? Wait for its availability in the showrooms by middle of the year and let’s see if auto enthusiasts will gobble the units up.
