Lexus CT 200h hybrid car

Lexus has confirmed that its Lf-Ch inspired CT 200h hybrid car will debut in Geneva this coming March. The auto brand’s latest upcoming dedicated hybrid will be aimed primarily at the European small luxury car market.

Although Lexus hasn’t released many details about their new hybrid , they said that it will be the “first and only full hybrid model in the premium compact segment.” The car was first expected to eventually reach North America after Lexus had applied for trademarks on the CT 200h, CT 300h and CT 400h nameplates in the United States and Canada – leading us to believe the car would be coming to the U.S. market.

But for now though, it now appears that American customers will not even have the option to purchase this aggressively styled Lexus hybrid.

“There are no plans, at present, to bring this vehicle to the U.S.,” said Toyota spokesman Curt McAllister.

The CT 200h will place in as Lexus’ entry-level model in Europe where the HS 250h is not currently sold. The production vehicle will be a five-door hatchback designed to compete against cars like the Audi A3 TDI and BMW 1-Series.
