Ralliart has just announced that it will cease operations by the end of the month. An independent tuning firm, it has long been associated with both aftermarket and factory-endorsed Mitsubishi products.

“Because of the sudden change of economy situation since the year before last, the business circumstance surrounding our company radically became worse and so, this time we have reached the conclusion that we Ralliart Inc., would scale down our business activities as of the end of March 2010,” Ralliart said in a statement posted on its website.

Mitsubishi has just announced its plans to introduce the 2010 Outlander RX special edition in Australia.

Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited vice president of brand and marketing, Paul Unerkov, said the special edition Outlander RX is in a class of its own. “This attention grabbing vehicle offers great street presence, drivability and functionality.”

Based on the Outlander LS, the RX features a modified front bumper, new fog lights, aggressive side sills, a unique rear air dam, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Additional styling mods include silver painted door handles, a chrome exhaust tip, and privacy glass.
