Spectators of the Seoul Motor Show will be the first witnesses to the Hyundai WILL BLUE hybrid concept which will be unveiled by next month. With lithium-Ion batteries coupled with a 1.6-Liter direct injection engine plus some dye-sensitized solar cells coming from the roof, the Hyundai WILL BLUE hybrid concept is indeed one concept that we would be awaiting production of.

Add some 100kw electric motor to move the wheels and you’re on to one of the most exciting ride of your life. However, this is purely concept and there is no assurance that it will be translated to a production version.

The Geneva Motor Show was indeed a venue that showcased the latest electric vehicle models but also wishful thinking concept cars that might make production in the future. One of these impressive concept cars displayed during the Auto Show is the Koenigsegg Quant, a solar-electric model built by Swedish supercar builder Koenigsegg. There’s a lot of wishful thinking in this shark-like auto aptly called the Audi Shark concept. This visionary auto is the product of the fertile mind of 26-year old Kazim Doku who won in the Audi and Domus Academy-sponsored design competition. This auto looks more like a hovercraft though waiting for the sharks at bay even though it has the dour-ring Audi badge. Doku described his design as a super sport automobile which followed the clean and perfect lines of Audi.

Not content with the Volkswagen Passat and the Magotan which is a locally-made Passat-derived model, here comes the third derivative, the China FAW-VW Lingyu. The Lingyu will be using the Passat body-style of the previous generation as will be based on the PQ46’s platform.
