Peugeot 207 S16 Special Edition Announced for UK

Peugeot has just revealed the 207 S16 special edition for the United Kingdom.

The S16, which was based on the 207 Sport 1.6 VTi three-door, was built to celebrate Kris Meeke’s win of the 2009 IRC driver’s title. As such, the car has rally-inspired graphics which mimic those on Meeke’s IRC winning 207 S2000 rally car. The S16 special edition has a 207 RC Cup bodykit and an interior badge signed by Meeke himself.

Styling touches include front and rear spoilers, aerodynamic side skirts, faux rear diffuser, mesh grille, dark tinted windows and 17-inch Hockenheim alloy wheels.

Though the S16 special edition may have the racy appearance, it does not have any performance upgrades. It will be equipped with a 1.6 liter VTi petrol engine that produces 120 bhp. The S16 sprints from zero to 62 mph in 10.7 seconds before hitting its top speed of 125 mph. The engine does return a combined 47.1 mpg and has an emissions rating of 139 g/km.

Peugeot will be producing only 250 special editions of the 207 S16, and each will be priced from £14,695.
