With the 2011 Porsche 991 coming all together, the automaker has started stripping the camouflage from the redesigned 911(codenamed 998 or 991).
Wearing production head and tail lights, it’s pretty obvious that new 911 will feature a front end with amber-colored LED turn signals and white LED daytime running lights. The rear appears to also have LED tail lights that look similar to the current 997.5 generation.
In terms of styling, the evolutionary design theme continues to reign supreme. Despite this, the headlights are shapelier, there are Panamera-styled door mirrors, a revised rear windshield wiper, and wider rear wheel haunches. If our eyes aren’t deceiving us, the mule also looks a tad longer than the current 911.
Porsche is still withholding detail on the engine, but options will likely include minor modifications to improve output and fuel efficiency. Like today’s model, they will be connected to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission.
