
In the recently held Frankfurt Motor Show, Porsche has officially unveiled its revised 2010 911 Turbo. The new turbo is fitted with a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine which cranks out 500 horsepower. That is double what the first 911 has; now the car can do 0 to 60 miles in just 3.4 seconds.
The direct-injected powertrain features turbocharger with variable turbine geometry and it can be paired with Porsche’sYour browser may not support display of this image. PDK Doppelkupplungsgetriebe, the automaker’s dual clutch seven-speed transmission.
PDK versions of the car will also have a new three-spoke sport steering wheel with paddle shifters and an integrated display for the Launch Control and Sport/Sport Plus mode.
According to Porsche fuel consumption and emissions have also gone down with the new car. The 911 turbo will now be able to do 21 mpg; this will disqualify the car from the gas guzzler tax in the US.
All 911 turbo will come standard with All-wheel-drive and an optional new Porsche Torque Vectoring system. This system according Porsche will make the care more agile and precise in its steering.
