Protoscar Lampo2 EV On the Road to Geneva

Another Swiss company has shown off another concept car at the Geneva Auto Show. This time Protoscar wowed the Geneva crowd with the Lampo2 electric sports. It is a more energy-efficient and powerful successor to the Lampo from Geneva 2009.The Lampo2 features four different charging modes for real-world conditions.

First up, is the standard single-phase on-board charger with up to 3.3kW for the normal overnight home-charge. Then there’s a “control-pilot” single-phase with 6.6kW on board charger made for public charging. The third one is a standard three-phase 9.9kW on board charger typical for charging at industrial plugs and last but certainly not the least is the interface for fast DC charging capable of transmitting 80kW is the last one. The latter is said to give an extra range of up to 100km in just 10 minutes.

Lampo2 is provided with two electric motors and a Lithium-Ion battery with a total system output of 300kW (408 PS) and 640Nm (472 lb-ft) of torque. Acceleration from a standstill to a hundred kilometers per hour acceleration takes 5 seconds and a top speed of 200km/h (124 mph) is attainable. Protoscar says it can also achieve a range of 200km (124 miles).

LAMPO2 is shown together with different charging infrastructure solutions: a smart home charge device (developed with ALPIQ), the public charging station E-TOTEM and the quick-charging station (developed with ABB and Brusa).
