The Renault Kangoo Z.E. Concept does not look like a hopping kangaroo although it sure looks funny. Laugh all you want but take note that this Concept is all electric powered and has zero emissions. This is among the series of electric-powered cars that will come out of the alliance between Renault and Nissan which will start selling by 2011.
Based on the production version of the Kango be bop, the Renault Kangoo Z.E. Concept will weighs 1,591 kilograms with front and rear LED lights, a suspension system that is 20mm lower and 18-inch full disc wheels. Inside the vehicle is a futurist set up in satin-finish chrome and metallic acidic green color splash with grey velour upholstery.
The Renault Kangoo Z.E. Concept will be powered by an electric motor producing 60 horsepower or 44kW power. It will make use of lithium-ion batteries with a range of 100km to 160km and which can be charged using a plug-in socket. You will get the chance to try this out when it goes on a demonstration tour and test drive this July.
This auto is the latest addition to the wide array of vehicles striving for environment-friendly features. The low-energy LED front and rear lighting is expected to optimize the use of energy. You will know how much juice is left in your battery by activating the remote central locking control with linear display on the Kangoo’s exterior or through the interior gauge.
