In the upcoming Franfurt Motor Show Toyota will be unveiling at least four concept vehicles, including a car version of the first European made hybrid vehicle.
Toyota also confirmed that it will also show a hybrid version of its Auris at the Frankfurt Motor show. Named as the Auris HSD Hybrid, the final production version of the car will start rolling out of Toyota’s Derby Factory in the middle of 2010.
Toyota has also said that the hybrid version of the Auris uses 19 percent less fuel versus its non-hybrid version and it will also put out 17 percent fewer emissions. The Auris platform is also used for the Lexus HS 250h hybride so expect the car to churn out about 35 mpg for city driving and 34 mpg for highway.
The Japanese manufacturer will also present in the Frankfurt Motor show a plug in hybrid version of the very popular Prius which is now on its third generation. However there is concrete plans of mass production for the Prius Plug in hybrid, Toyota will offer 150 examples for fleet use the coming year.
So expect a lot from Toyota in the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
