Toyota to Unveil New Compact Car Concept in New Delhi

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private, Ltd. (TKM) is planning to unveil a new compact car concept that’s specifically designed for the Indian market at the New Delhi show. Thirteen other concept and production vehicles will also be displayed at the 10th Auto Expo in New Delhi from January 5 to 11, 2010.

The vehicle, which will be named EFC for the meantime, will place below the Yaris. Plans for the production are already taking place and are scheduled to start on December 2010 at Toyota’s planned second plant in India. According to the deputy managing director of TKM, Sandeep Singh, the concept vehicle of the compact car at the Auto Expo will be showcasing both a hatchback and a sedan version.

The EFC will be joining the Corolla Altis, the Fortuner, the Camry and the Land Cruiser and other Toyota products being sold in the Indian auto market.
