Volvo C70

Swedish auto maker Volvo has recently revealed images of its latest C70 hardtop convertible. The images were made available to the industry ahead of its Frankfurt Motor Show launch this month. The new C70 is almost technically identical to the outgoing model, but the new one sports a more dramatic look outside and some minor changes in the inside.

The new styling given to the C70 include larger headlights that are more swept back, this gives the car a more aggressive look. The front grill is also more prominent with the signature Volvo looking more predominate. At the back the new C70 has been given new tail lights and a dual exhaust. The C70’s styling was heavily influenced by the S60 concept car that Volvo debuted last January at the Detroit Auto Show.

Regarding the interior, Volvo has thoroughly redesigned the dashboard, gave the seats softer leather, all in an attempt to give the car an upmarket feel.

In the engine department the C70 will be available in a diesel and gasoline engines in its home market, while the turbo charged gas engine will come to North America. The base model 2.4i gas engine churns out 168 horsepower while the turbocharged version puts out 227 bhp.

The C70 will make its debut in the coming Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany this coming month.
